Kattsafe is seeking a dynamic Quality Manager to lead our quality function across Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Engineering. In this strategic role, you’ll have full ownership of quality performance and the authority to shape and implement quality strategies that drive continuous improvement across the business.
You’ll lead and mentor a team of Quality Coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration. With a robust focus on leadership and development, you’ll be empowered to grow both your team and your own capabilities in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
This role works closely with internal teams including Operations, Engineering, Production, and external suppliers to ensure we consistently deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Quality Assurance
Maintain and enforce the Quality Assurance Policy & Procedures across the business.
Conduct and manage Supplier Quality & Assessment Audits (Purchased components).
Lead Internal Quality & Assessment Audits (Manufactured goods).
Deliver training on internal quality processes, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee Change Point/Breakpoint Management to ensure smooth implementation of changes with minimal quality risk.
Quality Control
Supervise IWG/QC inspection processes to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
Manage the Quality Non-Conformance (Pink Slip) Process, including tracking, reporting, and resolution.
Lead Defect & Error Review Meetings and coordinate effective follow-up actions.
Take charge of Recall/Field Action activities, including investigation, containment, and communication.
Analyse and report on the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and recommend reduction strategies.
Create and review key quality documentation including SOPs, inspection standards, procedures, audit checklists, and forms.
Quality Engineering
Develop and implement Supplier Quality Standards to ensure compliance & conformity for incoming materials.
Conduct Supplier Conformity Assessments, including MTCs, CoAs, and CoCs.
Oversee Product Approval processes for new and modified product approvals.
Approve First-Off & Final Products ensuring readiness for production and market.
Process and evaluate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) from a quality impact perspective.
Provide technical support and quality assessment in response to engineering and production issues.
Collaborate with R&D; and engineering teams to integrate quality into product design.
Lead root cause analysis and coordinate corrective and preventive actions across functions (CAPA).
We’re looking for a motivated individual with:
Qualifications/tertiary education in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Certified Lean Six-Sigma Practitioner or similar is desirable.
In-depth understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or equivalent).
Proficient in quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, 8D, and CAPA.
Minimum 3+ years in quality management within a manufacturing or related environment is desirable.
Strong background in audits, product assessment & approval, root cause analysis, and supplier quality management.
Technical capability to interpret product drawings, shop drawings & technical/engineering standards.
Proven leadership of teams and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills to drive alignment across all business levels.
