Raw Materials & Claims Specialist - Bunbury
Hilton Foods Bunbury is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Raw Materials Specialist to join our Quality team as a Raw Materials & Claims Specialist. This role, based at our Bunbury facility, requires you to ensure the quality of all meat, ingredients, packaging, and other raw materials arriving at the site. You will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring the incoming goods and rectifying any items that do not meet the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of raw materials and control to conform to Woolworths Supplier Excellence Standard.
* Maintain certificate of analysis for incoming goods.
* Uphold specification standards.
* Monitor the microbiological quality of raw meat upon delivery to Case Ready.
* Complete KPI reporting.
* Ensure conformance of raw meat to agreed primal and trim specifications.
* Monitor, check, and record daily operations to safeguard raw materials.
* Coordinate with external parties for the delivery of meat samples and analysis of microbiological results.
* Conduct quality control of incoming ingredients and batching.
* Monitor the quality of incoming packaging and new ingredients.
* Support the development of risk assessment.
About You:
* Proven background in Food Manufacturing (experience in the Meat Industry is highly regarded).
* Food Safety Qualification and/or trade qualification, such as Trade Butcher.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of HACCP and its application.
* Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and planning skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* Driven to meet business standards and customer expectations, striving for 'best in class.'
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work well under deadlines.
