Join a team that values safety, innovation and reliability Leichhardt is currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Maintenance to provide frontline leadership to the maintenance crew, ensuring all mobile and fixed plant maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a residential opportunity ? no FIFO required.
About the Role
The Leading Hand Maintenance position is responsible for coordinating daily work, supervising trades and contractors, monitoring safety compliance, and supporting the Maintenance Supervisor in achieving maintenance targets.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing daily maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
� Supervise and training the maintenance team, including documentation is kept up to date
� Manages trade employees in maintenance activities.
� Allocate resources or attend maintenance coverage for breakdowns.
� Resolve on the job issues (with regard to planned maintenance activities, maintenance shutdowns, etc.).
� Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry regulations and standards and keep documentation up to date.
� Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with direct team members and with broader teams and stakeholders.
� Generate, recognize and implement innovative solutions or new/improved approaches to work or work methods and encourage others to do the same
About You
You will have previously worked with or have knowledge of Scania, Caterpillar and Komatsu HME systems and be familiar with the relevant online system (such as caterpillar SIS, Scania WIO). Previous experience operating at a similar level and the previous use of Pronto will be highly regarded.
Qualifications & Licences
* Completion of an approved WHS risk management course
* Pass undertaking the relevant legislative examination for a statutory supervisor
* Health & Safety Representative training and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar is desired
* WA C Class Driver?s Licence (minimum)
* High Risk Work Licence, EWP, Forklift (LF), Working at Heights, Confined Space
Previous Experience
* Solid experience in in a similar role
* High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Pronto or similar CMMS)
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to assess and manage risk
* Experience in salt mining operations highly regarded
