Component Rebuild Fitter
Overview
Reporting into the leading hand on your crew, you will work in a team of experienced OEM component rebuild mechanics and technicians, applying your mechanical trade knowledge to enhance heavy equipment performance.
Responsibilities
* Component Overhaul: Disassemble, clean, inspect and rebuild transmission assemblies, including torque converters and drivetrain components.
* Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Use OEM programs to identify faults, analyse fluid samples (S·O·S), and test hydraulic systems.
* Engineering Updates: Incorporate the latest OEM engineering updates into the rebuild process to ensure improved performance.
* Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and repairs to minimise downtime for heavy equipment.
* Technical Reporting: Complete accurate and detailed reports to maintain quality standards.
Roster and Hours
* 7:7 roster
* Day shift only
* 12‐hour shifts (00:00 – 18:00)
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III in mechanical trade.
* Previous experience working on heavy equipment in a workshop environment.
* Prior component rebuild experience is highly regarded but not essential.
* Strong work ethic, passion for quality results, and ability to work autonomously on rebuild projects.
* Safety‐conscious and eager to advance skills within an OEM component rebuild division.
