Community Safety Officer - Parking
Location: Tamworth, NSW
Full‑time position. The role delivers fair, consistent parking enforcement to support safer roads across the region and engages with the community on a day‑to‑day basis, while enjoying the flexibility, stability and supportive workplace that comes with working for Council.
Responsibilities
* Deliver fair, consistent parking enforcement to support safer roads across the region.
* Engage with the community on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Provide a hands‑on operational service in responding to the range of parking complaints and policing to ensure the safety of road users.
* Provide input into strategy development to improve operational efficiency in relation to parking efficiency and enforcement.
* Provide back‑up response and assist the Ranger team where required.
Qualifications
* Higher School Certificate.
* Driver Licence.
* Immunisation against Hepatitis, Tetanus and Q Fever (or willingness to obtain).

Salary
Grade 8 – $1,
* – $1,
* per week plus superannuation and applicable allowances for a 38‑hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Benefits
There will be some weekend work as part of a rotating roster. Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a pre‑employment medical screening including alcohol and other drugs testing.
