The opportunity
As a Medical Receptionist at Vision Eye Institute, you'll play a vital role in delivering a seamless patient experience and supporting our clinical teams. We’re seeking a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping others, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
In this role, you will:
- Provide warm, efficient, and professional reception services to patients and visitors.
- Answer and manage phone and email enquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
- Schedule appointments using Blue Chip and CRM systems in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Assist with patient intake, billing, and scanning of medical records.
- Support smooth clinic operations by helping with general administration tasks.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold high standards of patient care.
- Adhere to privacy, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.

Vision Eye Institute Chatswood offers expert laser eye surgery, cataract treatment, and general eye services in Sydney, New South Wales.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings professionalism, warmth, and reliability to every interaction. You’ll be the kind of person who takes pride in creating a calm, welcoming environment for patients—even on the busiest of days.
You will also bring:
- Experience in a receptionist or administrative support role—ideally within a medical, allied health, or specialist clinic setting.
- A working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with private health insurance processes (advantageous but not essential).
- A natural ability to communicate clearly and compassionately, both over the phone and in person.
- High attention to detail, with a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and confidence navigating patient management systems (experience with Blue Chip is a bonus).
- A genuine team player mindset—you enjoy supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive, high-performing workplace.
- Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and the legal right to work in Australia.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a quick-paced environment, preferably a healthcare clinic
