Bookkeeper | Construction
Job Summary:
Our client is a successful and well-regarded builder, working across Residential & Commercial projects.
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage payroll, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office / Excel, with 3+ years working as a bookkeeper for a residential builder, building supplier or commercial contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end processing of weekly payroll
* Maintain up-to-date financial records using Xero
* Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments
* Generate and send client invoices and other expenses
* Checking overdue invoices and following up on payments
* Reconcile bank accounts, expense cards, petty cash, payroll accounts, and funding statements
* Preparing monthly financial statements
* Uploading payments and assisting with ad hoc finance duties as required
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 3+ years working as a bookkeeper for a residential builder, building supplier or commercial contractor
* Experience processing end to end payroll, accounts payable and receivables
* Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office / Excel
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
