Your new role
As a Financial Analyst/Economist, you will step into a unique role where policy, finance and economic strategy intersect. Working within a high-performing team, you will support the delivery of innovative investment mechanisms designed to mobilise private sector capital and contribute to government priorities.
In this role, you will:
* Manage and contribute to finance and investment programs
* Engage with private sector investors, financial institutions and government stakeholders
* Support policy development across areas including sustainable finance, climate finance and private sector investment
* Contribute to investment performance reporting and program delivery
* Assist in the design of new financial mechanisms to attract private capital
* Represent the team in stakeholder engagement activities, both domestically and internationally
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive as a Financial Analyst / Economist (APS6), you will bring a strong mix of policy capability, analytical thinking and stakeholder engagement skills, along with:
* Experience in policy development, program delivery or economic analysis
* Exposure to development finance, infrastructure finance, climate finance or impact investing
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including collaboration with government and external partners
* Ability to manage risk, analyse complex information and contribute to strategic outcomes
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build consensus
* Experience in monitoring, evaluation or program reporting is desirable.
* NV2 security clearance preferably or NV1
