We're looking for a hands‑on, safety‑driven Workshop Technician to join our Fairfield Service Workshop team. If you're a certified diesel tradesperson who thrives on diagnostics, repairs, and solving technical challenges, this role puts you right where the action is.
What you'll do
* Diagnose, repair and service Komatsu equipment to a high technical standard.
* Test, adjust and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and monitoring systems.
* Produce accurate, professional technical and service reports.
* Keep labour output high while maintaining excellent safety and housekeeping.
* Support quoting, job planning, TSI/warranty processes, and cost control.
* Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service.
Shift hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday - Day Shift
Start and finish times: 7:30am to 4pm
Pay rate: $ $49.39 as of 01 April $ $51.36 per hour plus Overtime as required + Tool Allowance $25 per week
What you bring
* Certified Plant Mechanic + Current Driver's Licence.
* Strong diagnostic capability and mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to work independently, safely and with attention to detail.
* Solid communication skills and a team‑first attitude.
* Forklift + Working at Heights tickets (or willingness to obtain).
* Komatsu equipment experience highly regarded.
