About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join the CLCN Central Marketing Team and Branding Team as a Journalist. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the NFP sector, hone your journalism skills, and create impactful stories that highlight CLCN's initiatives and achievements across Australian platforms.
Key Responsibilities
As a
Journalist
, you will:
* Develop and publish platform-specific brand content (including stories, profiles, captions, and campaign copy) across English media platforms that support CLCN's brand identity and key initiatives.
* Work with the Branding Team and collaborate with the Central Marketing Team to ensure consistent brand tone, messaging, and positioning across all channels.
* Interview event participants and internal volunteers to create authentic brand stories that showcase CLCN's impact and community.
* Ensure all content aligns with CLCN's brand guidelines, values, and strategic objectives.
* Review engagement insights and feedback to continuously improve brand messaging and content effectiveness
What We're Looking For
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
· Interest or experience in journalism, writing, or content creation.
· Ability to conduct interviews and develop clear, engaging written content.
· Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Familiarity with digital and social media platforms.
· Understanding of confidentiality and responsible handling of information.
· Interest in community-focused, multicultural, or not-for-profit initiatives.
