About the Role
We are seeking experienced Safety Advisors to join our site-based teams across long term open pit projects in WA's Mid West.
With multiple active and upcoming projects alongside ASX-listed mining companies, we are gearing up for significant growth and are looking to strengthen our team ahead of a record year.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support, coaching and assistance in the planning of work, using the Safe Systems of Work.
* Conduct leadership engagements of the critical controls and safe systems of work.
* Facilitate with the employees changes to the company SOPs and any reviews of existing SOPs.
* Coach and monitor the leadership team on the implementation of the safety strategy, Management Plans and principal mining hazards embedment within day to day operations.
* Assist line management with the incident investigation and reporting process.
* Ensure records are maintained utilizing PeopleTray/MS Teams.
What you will bring to the role
* It is ESSENTIAL that you possess previous experience in an open pit mining/bulk earthworks environment.
* Sound knowledge of the applicable (or relevant) State occupational health and safety act and regulations.
* A good understanding of risk management.
* Experience working in remote locations (for site-based roles).
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Previous PeopleTray software experience an advantage.
Licences / Qualifications
* Australian C class drivers licence.
* Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
* Current First Aid.
* National Police Clearance (or able to obtain).
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment an advantage.

This role is FIFO from Perth to site, on an 8&6 rostered basis.
