Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Housekeeper to join our team and ensure our property is consistently clean, well‑presented, and welcoming for every client and guest. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests staying in our clients and guests' accommodation. This role ensures that all cleaning, linen, restocking, and property presentation standards are met in line with company procedures, clients and guests' expectations, and relevant Australian workplace laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Property Presentation
• Clean and prepare the property after each guest stay, ensuring high presentation standards.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, living areas, and outdoor spaces as required.
• Change and launder bed linen and towels (or manage linen service provider).
• Restock consumables (toiletries, tea/coffee, cleaning supplies).
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with local council requirements.
• Report any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items immediately.
Quality & Safety
• Follow established cleaning checklists and turnaround procedures.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
• Maintain secure handling of keys, access codes, and guest information.
Operational Support
• Notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Assist with inventory checks (linen, consumables, amenities).
• Support occasional deep‑cleaning tasks (e.g., oven cleaning, window cleaning, carpet spot cleaning).
• Communicate promptly about property readiness for guest check‑ins.
Experience:
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or short‑stay accommodation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including weekends or public holidays if required).
• Ability to follow checklists and maintain consistency.
Skills:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
· Fluent in English.
· Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Requirements:
· Right to Work Check
· National Police Check
· National Passport / Australian Driver's license
· Reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
· Current Manual Handling Training Certificate (in-house training provided)
