About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team. Based in Melbourne or Adelaide, you will enjoy flexible working, including hybrid options and a 9‑day fortnight.
We’re looking for a team player with a passion for people and the drive to achieve outstanding results. This role partners with the organisation to attract, identify, source and secure the best talent aligned to business demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Build consultative relationships with internal stakeholders to align on attraction and sourcing strategies.
- Proactively source and identify top talent through various channels.
- Actively engage and maintain diverse talent pools for current and future roles.
- Provide timely updates and feedback to candidates, ensuring a positive experience.
- Represent BAE Systems at career events and exhibitions.
- Advise candidates on BAE’s employment landscape, contracts and benefits.
- Conduct necessary background and pre‑employment checks.
- Uphold BAE Systems’ brand through positive interactions.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement in recruitment.
About You
- Proven experience in talent acquisition or recruitment (agency or in‑house).
- A passion for talent acquisition and the ability to connect top talent with opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Expertise in talent acquisition processes, tools and best practices.
- A strategic mindset, including the ability to build future talent pipelines.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools.
- A strong focus on customer service and stakeholder management.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities with the ability to juggle multiple priorities with precision.
- High drive, autonomy and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a baseline defence clearance.
