We are looking for a Legal Assistant with a minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar role and preferably in litigation.
About the role
We are searching for highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join our busy team. You will be reporting to one Director and one senior lawyer. The role requires the successful candidate to take ownership in providing administrative and secretarial support. This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Duties and responsibilities include:
* General administration - including word processing, document creation, filing, scanning, printing, managing calls, organising postage and couriers.
* Matter related processing - including opening and closing matters, client billing, searches, producing cost disclosure letters, retainers, trust statements, and lodging documents.
* Proactively assisting our lawyers deliver high standard legal services.
* Working collaboratively with others in the team.
About you
The successful applicant will have a relevant professional services background and will also have:
* Minimum 4-5 years' working in a similar role
* Fast, accurate typing speed
* Proficient technical and computer knowledge, with advanced skills in MS office
* Well-developed communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and assist with competing deadlines
* Strong document management skills
* Diary and email management
* Knowledge of Clio is an advantage
