It doesn't get much bigger than that.Find purpose and impactFind purpose and make an impact through this dynamic and challenging position, you'll be responsible for all matters pertaining to the maintenance and repair of Council's diverse fleet of vehicles, plant, and equipment, encompassing both mechanical and electrical systems, in the Dubbo and Wellington workshop facilities as well as field service and breakdown responses.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our municipal operations run smoothly.As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively.
We currently have multiple vacancies for positions based in our Dubbo & Wellington Workshops with the opportunity to work out on location at Council's project-based worksites.You'll make an impact by:Carrying out diagnosis and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systemsWorking autonomously across various locationsEffectively communicating with different levels of the organisationFostering good teamwork and high staff morale within the team, including supervision of apprenticesEnsuring high quality standards of workmanshipWhat you'll bringTo thrive in this role, you will need:Cert III Qualification and licence in Motor Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Plant MechanicsClass C Drivers LicenceDemonstrated trade experience in repairs and diagnosis for a variety of equipment and the subsequent work requiredBasic computer skillsWe would also love you to have:Experience with computer diagnostic equipmentMotor Vehicle Repairers LicenceCurrent RMS Motor and Heavy Vehicle Inspection AuthorityFork Lift Licence, air conditioning installers licence or welding experienceClass HR Driving LicenceReady to find more from work and life?
