An exciting opportunity is available for an Orthoptist, Ophthalmic Technician, or Optometrist to join our busy and well-established ophthalmology practice in 2026.
This part-time role offers flexibility across a range of days, hours, and clinic locations. You will work alongside a supportive and professional multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality patient care across diverse ophthalmology subspecialties.
This position is well suited to new graduate Orthoptists, with full training provided in the use of specialised ophthalmic equipment.
Key requirements for this position:
* Must be able to work as part of a team and autonomously
* Reliable, efficient and able to work under pressure
* Ability to prioritize daily schedules and maintain work flow of busy clinics
* Exceptional customer service skills and friendly, positive attitude
* Preferred experience with ophthalmic imaging equipment or willingness to learn is essential
* Flexible approach to work hours and ability to travel to metropolitan sites
Roles and responsibilities
* To set up and assist the Ophthalmologist in all aspects of patient care to enable efficient and effective patient management
* Patient assessments and recording medical history
* Supporting and assisting the doctors with minor procedures and injection set ups
* A wide range of digital imaging and screening using specialized equipment
* Maintaining medical stock supplies and administrative tasks
This role requires an experienced individual with the ability to work in a busy and professional team environment with a group of Specialists dedicated to providing excellence in eye care.
