Field Service Mechanic
Location: Eersteriver, Western Cape, South Africa
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
* Minimum Grade 12
* Qualified Earthmoving equipment Mechanic (Red Seal/Trade Test)
* Valid Driver's License - Code 10/14
* 5 years' experience as a Field Service Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic
* Must have knowledge on Caterpillar and Bell equipment
* Must have knowledge of On Key and SIS(Cat) systems
* Pre-employment medical required
* Computer literate
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
* Always maintain professional workmanship standards
* Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures
* Have knowledge of engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, undercarriage and auto electronic
* Repair loaders, dumpers, excavators' trucks & LDV's within specification and agreed repair times
* Ensure complete, accurate and timely job card feedback and repair reports
* Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and RCA on failures
* Perform machine inspections on vehicles and compile backlog listsCoordinate assistants to carry out first line of maintenance tasks
* Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives
* Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
* Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
* Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
