About Your Role
The Maintenance Coordinator will develop, establish and monitor rollingstock maintenance schedules that ensure the effective use of labour, equipment, tools and plant, minimising the cost of maintenance and unavailability of rollingstock. The coordinator will support scheduling of maintenance with inventory, finished goods and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze maintenance plans, contracts, engineering and other information to estimate time spans for processing of materials, parts and tools to meet contractual delivery requirements.
* Develop draft maintenance schedules and coordinate final schedules and approval with the operations manager, planning manager, contract & services manager, service engineer, service manager, supervisors and other interested parties.
* Coordinate the planned work with workshop supervisors during the maintenance event.
* Ensure correct close out of maintenance packages after the event.
About You
* Extensive experience in a maintenance engineering environment, with some planning exposure.
* Proficient in the operation of SAP.
* Experience with a planning software system, e.g., Primavera/MS Project, and a methodical approach to planning.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and standards.
* Experience in rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or other safety‑critical environments.
* Customer‑focused, team‑oriented, accountable and results‑driven.
* Energetic with a positive "can‑do" attitude.
* Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and apply new skills and knowledge in a rapidly changing structure, process, information and technology environment.
