About your role,
The Port Augusta Transport Manager will oversee the transportation operations of the region, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of fuel, aviation fuel and lubrication products to customers. The role requires the ability to manage a team of drivers, maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Oversee daily operations across Port Augusta transport services—including scheduling, routing, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring reliable, on-time deliveries
* Lead and support a team of drivers and contractors with coaching, tailored training, compliance oversight, and performance management
* Champion HSE and legislative compliance through inspections, incident response, toolbox meetings, and accurate reporting
* Strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers by resolving issues quickly and driving high service standards
* Drive operational efficiency and cost savings through data-led decisions, budget management, process improvements, and performance tracking
About you
* Diploma in Logistics (preferred), Experience in transport management within logistics/freight, with proven leadership in driver compliance
* Skilled in fleet operations, routing, scheduling, and bulk fuel transport, including knowledge of dangerous goods legislation and safety protocols
* Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft packages, adept at financial oversight, reporting, and driving process improvements
* Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills to engage suppliers, customers, and internal teams across regional locations
* Dangerous Goods licence (or willingness to obtain), with availability for regular travel and commitment to upholding regulatory standards
