BDAC is an ACCO (Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation) registered as a member under the umbrella of VACCHO (Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation) and represented nationally through NACCHO (National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation).
BDAC was founded to represent and provide services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living on Djaara Country.
BDAC has a responsibility to ensure growth of services, development of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, better and improved health outcomes for our people, improved quality of life and be a lead agency in providing self-determination employment and career pathways for Aboriginal people.
What We Are Offering
Access to NFP Salary Packaging - up to $18,550 annually (general living expenses and meals & entertainment)
12% Superannuation
Full Time, Ongoing Position
Salary Classification Range - $63,000 to $75,000 annually (depending on experience)

About the Role
The Operations Assistant will undertake a range of routine and ad hoc administrative and coordination functions to support the Operations Coordinator, Facilities and Administration teams.
This includes assisting with the operation and management of fleet management, including administering the fleet IT system, and being responsible for ensuring consistent and timely procurement and the regular restocking of supplies across all sites.
Other tasks may include scheduling routine and ad hoc maintenance requests, asset management and assisting to deliver various property, assets and facilities related projects.
The role will also assist with the data integrity and maintenance of relevant databases relating to the functions of the team.
The role will also provide administrative support to the Infrastructure and Assets Manager and provide reception relief support to the Administration Team, as required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for the Infrastructure & Asset Team relating to : Fleet management
Procurement and maintaining stock levels
Parking and traffic management
Services and contract management
Asset registers
Building and facilities maintenance requests.
Reception
Mail Distribution
Filing and Record Management
Prepare and assist with reporting and compliance including toward our various accreditation standards and requirements for Safe Transport Victoria.
Provide administrative support to the Infrastructure and Assets Manager.
Develop agendas and documentation for relevant meetings and prepare minutes of the meetings.
Compile and maintain relevant electronic databases.
Administer fleet management system and deal with staff enquiries and requests.
Administration of Infrastructure Requests.
Coordinate procurement and manage stock levels.
Other tasks as reasonably required.
About You
Ability to plan, coordinate and complete tasks in a timely manner
Excellent professionalism and communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of the issues impacting the local Aboriginal community
Ability to effectively and efficiently plan and organise own workload
The ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse group of people to produce appropriate outcomes
Ability to work independently and in a team
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service
Developed or Developing skills in using computers, and confidence in learning various online programs.
Previous experience working with Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander community members or in an Aboriginal organisation (highly regarded).
