Financial Crime Risk Management Lead
The Financial Crime risk management team is responsible for strengthening the culture of compliance across financial institutions. This involves actively managing and reducing financial crime risks to meet regulatory expectations.
The team achieves this through driving effective implementation of Group policies, procedures, and controls while continually strengthening the Financial Crime risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the design and execution of controls owned by the Financial Crime risk management team.
* Develop a Continuous Improvement culture within the team and identify opportunities to optimise existing processes.
* Comply with Service Level Agreement standards for delivery and adhere to all policy and procedures.
* Apply sound risk management practices by proactively identifying and responding to risks and reporting them as necessary.
* Develop a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.
Requirements:
* Experience in operational risk management and compliance preferably within banking, financial services, or law enforcement.
* Strong technical knowledge and experience in applying financial crime risk management frameworks and expertise in AML/CTF, Sanctions, and ABC.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication including writing committee papers and facilitating working groups with multiple stakeholders.
