Hunter Class Frigate Program – Production Welders Night Shift
Permanent long-term career opportunity on a major naval defence program. Night shift available 11 pm to 7:30 am with rates starting at $*****. Non-citizens eligible to apply – must hold Australian work rights. At BAE Systems Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake tasks and duties as directed by production supervision and/or trades trainer within bounds of current competence.
Attend and complete relevant on-the-job training as required.
Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
Strive to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area.
Adhere to the BAE Maritime Australia policies and management practices.
About You
Experience fabrication with MIG or flux core welding.
Ability to read drawings.
Strong safety focus and enhancing the site safety environment.
Strong time-keeping abilities.
Excellent communication.
Clearances
As a Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identity Card (NSSIC) is required for this role, applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearances, including NSSIC and ITAR.
