The Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the Financial Excellence Leader ensures Kallibr's financial, commercial, and operational performance is well-managed, future-focused, and optimised for growth. This hands-on leadership role blends strategic insight with operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic commercial insights to support Kallibr's growth trajectory.
2. Analyse competitor activity, market trends, risks, and opportunities.
3. Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to drive commercial decision-making.
4. Support pricing, sales strategy, and business development initiatives.
5. Provide input into M&A assessments and commercial ventures.
6. Lead course pricing through a commercial lens.
7. Develop accurate forecasts for utilisation, revenue, and capacity.
8. Identify opportunities to optimise trainer utilisation and course mix.
9. Enhance systems and technology to drive booking and sales efficiency.
10. Adopt a curious, tenacious approach to revenue enhancement.
11. Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles.
12. Prepare monthly revenue reports, analysis, and financial commentary.
13. Oversee revenue accounting, cost reviews, and management reporting.
14. Analyse financial results and present insights to senior executives.
15. Manage cashflow, credit control, and AP/AR governance.
16. Ensure accurate processing of payments and invoices.
17. Approve financial batches and maintain supplier reconciliations.
18. Support contract development and manage tenders and RFPs.
19. Monitor spend against policy, delegations, and budgets.
20. Implement cost-control initiatives.
21. Payroll, Compliance & Statutory Responsibilities:
* Oversee payroll inputs and compliance obligations.
* Prepare and review annual financial statements.
* Ensure financial and statutory compliance.
22. Leadership & Team Development:
* Mentor and supervise finance staff.
* Foster a learning-oriented, high-performance team culture.
* Oversee internal and external service providers.
About You:
7+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or senior management accounting.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence across the business.
Experience in pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling.
Excellent communication skills — able to distil complexity into clear insights.
Proven ability to support sales, operations, and scheduling teams.
Passion for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Leadership capability with the ability to uplift people and processes.
