About Us

Kinyara Health is a business with a unique mission: to keep personal, local care alive for ageing Australians and people living with disability - helping individuals find their forever home care within one of our remarkable, community‐founded brands across New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

In the face of significant industry reform, we've doubled down on this commitment. As a result, Kinyara has grown at pace - expanding into the hearts and homes of more Australians, while staying true to the local care that defines us.

Our growing group operates through a distinctive service model, where long‐established community businesses (some with legacies of up to 45 years) have their histories and connections honoured. These local teams are supported by shared services and a technology‐forward approach that strengthens consistency and sustainability - without ever compromising client experience or community connection.

Through growth and transition, we remain deeply anchored to our purpose, quality standards and culture - creating an environment that attracts thoughtful, capable people who are motivated to do meaningful work and make a genuine impact.

About The Role

We're looking for a capable and grounded People & Culture Advisor with strong HR foundations, sound judgement and a genuine care for people, who can operate confidently in an advisory role within a growing, values‐led organisation.

This role is about balancing care with compliance, risk with momentum, and support with clear standards. You'll be trusted to manage matters end‐to‐end, advise leaders thoughtfully, and help shape a consistent, positive employee experience across a diverse and geographically spread workforce.

If you enjoy variety, work at pace, and value both autonomy and accountability, this role will suit you well.

Key Responsibilities

* Acting as a trusted point of contact for people‐related queries, including policy interpretation, Award advice and general HR guidance, providing clear, balanced advice that supports both leaders and employees.
* Partnering with leaders to manage performance, conduct and employee relations matters from start to resolution, ensuring issues are handled consistently, fairly and with appropriate consideration of risk and care.
* Supporting leaders to build positive team environments, contributing to workforce engagement, retention and a strong overall employee experience across the organisation.
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement of people processes, documentation and systems, with a focus on creating clarity, reducing unnecessary administration and enabling leaders to self‐serve confidently where appropriate.
* Supporting workplace safety, injury management and return‐to‐work processes in a way that balances compliance requirements with empathy and practical outcomes for individuals and the business.
* Managing people‐related documentation, records and correspondence with strong attention to detail, while keeping sight of the broader context and intended outcomes.
* Identifying emerging trends, risks or issues within the workforce and working proactively with leaders and the People & Culture team to address them early.
* Working closely with a geographically dispersed workforce, adapting your communication style and approach to suit different roles, locations and levels of experience.
* Managing your own workload with confidence and accountability, while knowing when to seek input, collaborate with others or escalation matters as required.

About You

You're an experienced HR or People & Culture Advisor who brings a calm, thoughtful approach to People work and is comfortable operating as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional support function.

You have sound judgement, strong people sense and the confidence to navigate nuance - holding care, fairness and risk in balance without losing momentum or credibility.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Have

* Experience in an award‐covered or operational environment, and confidence applying Australian employment legislation and people‐related compliance.
* Professional maturity, enabling you to manage complex matters with empathy, discretion and resilience.
* Good instincts and sound judgement; you know when to act, when to ask, and when to listen.
* A pragmatic, organised approach that allows you to manage multiple priorities without becoming reactive.
* Comfort working through ambiguity, change and shifting priorities, and making reasonable decisions with imperfect information.
* Ability to build trust quickly and work effectively across a range of personalities and roles.
* Comfortable working with geographically dispersed teams and adjusting your approach to suit the audience.
* Genuine alignment to values‐led work and a desire to contribute to a people‐centred, high‐trust culture.
* A mindset that always looks for ways to improve the experience and the outcome.

Exposure to mobile workforces, growth or reform environments, or continuous improvement initiatives will be well regarded - but we're more interested in your capability, curiosity and people sense.

Other Role Requirements

* Australian working rights.
* Driver licence
* Background check: NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

About The Good Stuff

* Flexible, hybrid working arrangements that recognise different lifestyles and responsibilities.
* The opportunity to work across multiple states and community‐based teams.
* Meaningful exposure to the evolving home care sector, where your work has a direct impact on people's lives and communities.
* A supportive environment that values thoughtful decision‐making, learning and professional growth.
* A flat, approachable structure with visibility and access to senior leaders.
* The chance to contribute to shaping people practices and culture during a significant phase of growth and change at Kinyara Health.
