Guest Service Attendant - CASUAL
We are currently seeking experienced and self-motivated Guest Service Attendants to join the busy team at the Ibis Styles Port Macquarie. The hotel is a stylish and comfortable choice when choosing accommodation in Port Macquarie. Recently acquired by the Australian Rugby League Commission and franchised with Accor, this is a great opportunity for an up and coming hospitality professional to lead the team. We are looking for dynamic and career driven individuals to join our professional housekeeping team.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Front Office Manager our Guest Service Agents role is a key part of the daily hotel operations by providing a consistent and high-quality standard of guest services.
The key responsibilities will include:
* Customer Interaction: Front office staff serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, greeting them warmly and addressing their inquiries. This role is crucial for creating a positive first impression of the organization.
* Administrative Tasks: These roles often involve scheduling appointments, managing calendars, handling correspondence, and maintaining records. Efficient administration helps streamline operations and enhances productivity.
* Visitor Management: Front office personnel are responsible for managing visitor access, issuing badges, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. This includes maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
* Communication: They facilitate communication between departments, ensuring that information flows smoothly within the organization. This includes answering phone calls, redirecting inquiries, and managing internal communications.
* Problem Resolution: Front office staff often handle customer complaints and issues, working to resolve them promptly and effectively to maintain customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work with a strong work ethic;
* Prior experience in the front office function in a similar environment;
* Exceptional customer service skills; including; friendly customer service demeanour;
* Proven ability to be a proactive individual with strong organisational and time management skills;
* Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, excellent communication skills;
* A passion for exceeding guest expectations and providing a high standard of guest service;
* A strong eye for detail and a focus on accurate reporting;
* Strong written and verbal communication skills;
* Exceptional personal presentation and grooming and
* A strong appreciation and compliance of workplace safety.
