The Fresh Collective are looking for dedicated Kitchen Stewards to support the kitchen brigade at one of our venues, The Wharf Restaurant and Bar, which is part of Sydney Theatre Company. The venue is located at 15 Hickson Road, Walsh Bay, which is an 8-minute walk from Barangaroo Metro Station. We are offering 20 hours per week mostly evening shifts with some day shifts, Monday to Saturday. The Role The Kitchen Steward is responsible to perform basic kitchen duties as requested by the Head Chef, including: General washing up Basic food preparation Cleaning of kitchen equipment Cleaning of kitchen surrounds Deep cleaning Benefits Regular hours in a central Sydney location Employee discounts across all Fresh venues Guaranteed Sundays off (venue is closed on Sundays) Hourly rate : Mon - Fri at $33.38 | Sat at $40.05 | Public Holidays; $66.75 About You Available to work shift hours: Day 11am - 4pm / Evening 5pm - 11pm. Prior experience of 6 months in a similar role, with knowledge of food hygiene A responsible person who shows initiative An eye for detail Hard working, physically fit and reliable – able to lift 10-15kgs comfortably Good communication skills Valid working visa, with availability to meet the required shifts.
