Engine Technician Role Overview
The engine technician role is a crucial part of our organization, requiring skilled individuals to diagnose and repair complex engine issues. As an engine technician, you will work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to drive business forward and solve complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
* Disassemble, inspect, clean and reassemble engines and/or engine components.
* Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines.
* Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans for engines in the workshop.
* Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Requirements:
* Australian recognized trade certificate (heavy or light vehicle)
* Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred)
* Locally valid driving permit
* Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.
* Significant field service work experience
* Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
