Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Manager – Employment Services to lead high‑quality employment service delivery across two Employment Regions.
This senior leadership role is responsible for driving performance, ensuring full contractual compliance, meeting all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and developing high‑performing teams that deliver meaningful outcomes for participants.
You will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and strong people leadership, while building effective relationships with employers, community organisations, stakeholders and industry partners.
Your work will directly support the growth, sustainability and performance of the service across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Regional Leadership
* Contribute to annual operational planning across the service area.
* Implement, monitor and report against regional business plan objectives.
* Provide accurate and timely advice on service risks, trends and external factors influencing performance.
* Contribute market intelligence to support tenders, grants and funding submissions.
* Build strong partnerships with community organisations, employers and stakeholders, implementing formal agreements where required.
Service Delivery & Performance
* Ensure the service offer is implemented effectively in line with the Service Delivery Model.
* Achieve and exceed placement, progression and outcome targets across all sites.
* Meet internal and external assurance requirements with a strong compliance focus.
* Identify regional risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and participant experience.
* Represent the organisation at site visits, events, job fairs and sector activities.
* Support marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance visibility and engagement.
* Ensure full compliance with contractual, organisational and departmental requirements.
People Leadership
* Lead and develop high‑performing teams across both regions.
* Mentor Team Leaders, strengthening leadership capability across the service.
* Foster a positive, ethical, compliant and high‑performance culture.
* Support staff wellbeing, engagement and continuous professional development.
Financial Management
* Achieve performance targets and regional financial budgets.
* Monitor expenditure to ensure cost efficiency and budget alignment.
* Interpret financial data to inform strategic and operational decisions.
* Oversee Employment Fund usage to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Sector Contribution & External Engagement
* Represent the organisation at Workforce Australia forums and sector events.
* Build partnerships that enhance regional outcomes and service capability.
* Monitor labour market and policy trends to inform service delivery.
* Collaborate with peer providers and stakeholders to strengthen sector relationships.
Teamwork & Organisational Contribution
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider organisation.
* Provide accurate and timely reports as required.
* Support organisational development and uphold organisational values.
* Undertake additional duties aligned with the role as required.
Essential Criteria
* Management experience within Employment Services or government‑funded programs.
* Proven experience leading regional or multi‑site teams to achieve performance targets.
* Strong people leadership with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
* Experience in marketing and promotional engagement.
* Relevant tertiary qualification.
* Current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable Criteria
* Strong understanding of contract implementation and performance risk management.
* Knowledge of Employment Services contracts and regional labour markets.
* Experience within the employment services sector.
* Cultural awareness and the ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal communities.
