APS6 Procurement Officer – Labour Hire Contract Security Clearance: Baseline required We are seeking an experienced APS6-level Procurement Officer to support a Commonwealth Government agency through a labour hire engagement. This role will provide specialist procurement advisory and operational support, ensuring procurement activities comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA Act). The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to plan, deliver and manage procurement activities while maintaining accurate procurement records and supporting contract management functions. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality procurement advice to stakeholders in line with Commonwealth procurement frameworks Ensure compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and PGPA Act Work with business areas to identify procurement needs and encourage early engagement in procurement planning Maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT Create and manage AusTender approaches to market and associated reporting obligations Develop and maintain internal procurement documentation aligned with best practice Support effective contract management and supplier relationship management Ensure contracts are appropriately managed and reported both internally and externally Promote APS values and contemporary workplace practices including diversity, safety and collaboration Required Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience delivering procurement services within the Australian Government environment Experience using TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT Strong understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and PGPA Act compliance Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory capability Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and documentation requirements Highly Desirable Completion of, or progress towards, a Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting Additional Information Baseline Security Clearance is required 37.5 hours per week Limited flexible work arrangements may be available (up to one day per week from home by agreement) This is a great opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to contribute to a high-performing government team supporting critical procurement and contract management activities.
