About the Role
This is a 12–15 month fixed‐term contract, covering maternity leave, commencing ideally early May 2026. As our Group Head of Retail, you will provide strategic leadership across Cue and Veronika Maine's retail operations, ensuring the achievement of sales, profitability, and operational objectives across the network.
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead Multi State Managers, Area Managers, Visual Merchandise Managers and the Retail Support Team, while collaborating closely with the CEO, CFO, HR, Planning and Marketing teams.
In this role, you will:
* Drive retail profitability through disciplined management of sales, wages, shrinkage, and expenses
* Set the strategic direction for customer experience across the retail network, ensuring consistently high standards of service and brand engagement
* Maintain brand integrity and ensure operational and visual merchandising excellence
* Develop and mentor a high-performing retail leadership team
* Lead strategic initiatives for store planning, refurbishments, openings, and closures
* Ensure full compliance with OH&S and company policies
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and monitor retail performance, setting strategic targets and implementing initiatives to drive growth and profitability
* Provide executive oversight of the customer experience strategy, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer expectations across all stores
* Inspire, develop, and retain senior retail leadership, conducting performance reviews and implementing succession plans
* Uphold a consistent, fashion-forward brand message across all locations
* Oversee stock management, shrinkage, and operational compliance at a strategic level
* Manage wage expenditure and operating costs to meet corporate budgets
* Provide strategic guidance on store openings, refurbishments, and closures, ensuring operational readiness and leadership alignment
About you
* Extensive experience in fashion retail leadership, managing multi‐site operations
* Proven track record in achieving sales, profit, and expense targets
* Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and influence teams at all levels
* Exceptional strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision‐making capabilities
* Demonstrated ability to deliver operational excellence and uphold brand standards
