We're looking for an Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join our team in Caringbah, NSW. About The Role : The Injection Moulding Toolmaker supports the injection Moulding Section in die removal and refitting, optimisation, evaluation and maintenance processes. Some of the key responsibilities are : Attend breakdowns, identify fault and problem solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production; Be actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives; Carry out planned preventative Maintenance; Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends; Document and update die history and other work records; Ensure all personal protective equipment is identified, always available, correctly used and all associated problems are reported to management; Ensure that all company health and safety practices are adhered to; Ensure all work is undertaken to a high quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations; Evaluate each job and determine if it can be repaired in press or must be removed to Tool Room for essential maintenance and repair work; Identify spares requirements and log usage; Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends regarding tool making; Manufacture new tooling and ancillary spares to support production activity and customer deadlines; Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems; Quality control of work by appropriate reviews; Record all relevant data in relation to tooling and record on the Tool Room database; Repair and maintain press tools, die repairs; Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults and concerns to management; Routine servicing and regrinding of tools; Support new project tooling from commissioning stages through to start of production; Test and modify precision mould tools used in the plastic injection moulding process before return to production; Undertake continuous training and development. To be considered you will need a relevant and recognised trade qualification and a minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification employment experience, OR; at least three years of relevant employment experience. This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $85,000 - $95,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. APPLY NOW through our online application form.
