ICT Strategy and Design is looking for a Business Analyst to support us in uplifting current processes and finding new ways of working. Could you be the help we need to improve the way we deliver ICT services?

We work closely with other areas to enable seamless collaboration, efficient workflows, and continuous improvement. By providing the right tools and support, we help staff stay productive and connected, ensuring the department can deliver its services effectively and seamlessly.
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the ICT Demand Management Practice, including defining the ICT service offering, project prioritisation, and analysis of current processes and development of future state. The role will be required to engage with fast paced and multi-threaded environments and be prepared to adapt and use their skills to reach solutions.
The role will be supported by technical staff, program managers, and Senior Executive to position the role for success.

As the Business Analyst, you will:
• apply appropriate business analyst techniques to the research required
• work with ICT service delivery teams to document current state business processes
• undertake detailed gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and develop remediation plans
• undertake work required to support the creation of service definitions and categorisations required in the ICT service offering
• undertake analysis and design work required for the successful implementation of a project prioritisation framework and related tooling
• support the department to prepare for and commence ICT service transition to new operating model requirements
• provide guidance, support, and capability uplift to other team members
• perform any other reasonable duties as directed by Program leadership.
Please note that the merit pool established through this selection process, which is valid for a period of eighteen months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette, may also be used to fill future ongoing vacancies in the branch where the duties are of a similar nature.

Knowledge and experience:
• Extensive experience using multiple business analysis techniques and skills from various methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile and Iterative development approaches.
• Experience and/or demonstrated understanding of activities required in the preparation work for new or changed services to meet defined needs.
