Job Title: Disability Support Worker
We are seeking a Casual Support Worker to support adult NDIS participants in SILs and respite services across Tewantin surrounding suburbs. The ideal candidate will have completed or be currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant) and have 12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist participants with personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance & meals.
* Follow specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP).
* Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
* Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
* Transport participants to community-based outings using a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle.
Requirements:
* Australian Driver's License.
* First Aid Certificate.
* CPR.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment.
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
* Reliable smart phone with data.
