Communications Officer
About the Role
We're seeking a skilled professional to join our communications team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in shaping careers and driving change in Australia and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic communication services for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs, internal communications and stakeholder relationship management
* Assist the communications team leader in providing communication advice and support to district staff on risk assessment, issues management, community consultation and communication strategies
* Coordinate and write executive correspondence, media statements, responses to media inquiries, speech notes, and other communication material for senior management
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A C Class Driver's licence
* Experience in a similar role
* A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing (highly desirable)
