Our client is an established professional services firm in Queensland is seeking a Senior Tax Advisor with a research focus to join its advisory team. The firm provides accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse client base, including SMEs, multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals and is recognised for its collaborative culture and commitment to staff development.
In this role, you will conduct in-depth tax research, analyse complex transactions, provide expert advice on corporate, trust, partnership, GST, FBT, CGT concessions, residency, transfer pricing, thin capitalisation and withholding tax matters, and support both the advisory and compliance teams. You will prepare taxation advice letters, develop internal training materials, present findings to clients and colleagues and collaborate with other professionals to deliver high-quality client service and advisory solutions.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Law, or a related discipline, be CA/CPA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), have a minimum of five years' experience in public practice with exposure to tax advisory or compliance, and possess advanced knowledge of Australian tax legislation, strong analytical and research skills, and excellent communication abilities.
