ProQuest Recruitment is excited to be leading the search for Trade Qualified Maintenance Technician's for our client, a world leading sterilisation and decontamination treatment company located in the South East Suburbs. This is a multi-faceted hybrid role whereby the right person will ideally be Trade Qualified as a Fitter and Turner/Electrician and will be accountable for overseeing all operational aspects of Maintenance. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of day-to-day maintenance activities across operations. Maintenance Tasks and Operational Tasks: * Primary contact for breakdowns and Plant & Site maintenance tasks. * Participate in the call-out roster which provides 24/7 coverage for the site across several functions. As a participant of this roster, you act as an on-call / standby resource who may be contacted for site support and may be required to attend site outside of your normal working hours to provide urgent assistance. * Lead and perform maintenance tasks on plant, site and equipment efficiently to minimise unexpected negative impacts to the business plan * Lead and trouble shoot plant and site equipment in the event of breakdowns (this may include outside of normal hours) * Monitor and maintain spare parts and equipment necessary for the execution of maintenance plans * Source and procure spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities * Schedule maintenance tasks with Operations staff to minimise impact to process downtime * Develop, implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for plant, site and equipment * Ensure timely repairs and upkeep of site facilities and equipment * Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly * Train operational team members in maintenance tasks to build internal capability * Ensure maintenance areas are organised and maintained within safety standards * Provide support to assist with handling of trades, specialised contractors or external assistance * Continuously assess & upgrade maintenance practices to optimise equipment performance & reliability * Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation governing the company's operational processes. You will possess a valid full drivers licence, LF forklift licence and experience in a comparable role (e.g. fitter/turner or similar) Preferred Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or other relevant field, A grade Electrician, Welding skills and experience within pharmaceutical, medical device or general healthcare environment or other highly regulated industry.
