About the role
We are seeking an experienced National Construction Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational delivery of construction projects across our Victorian division while providing national oversight. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and risk mitigation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients' needs are met to the highest standard across high volume and complex insurance claims.
What you'll be doing
* Provide high level leadership and direction across the project lifecycle, including national resource allocation and strategic risk assessment.
* Oversee state‐wide trade procurement and budgeting, ensuring site assessments and material selections meet InsureBuild's premium standards.
* Liaise closely with major insurance partners, loss adjusters, and internal executive stakeholders to ensure clear communication and seamless national delivery.
* Monitor national project progress and provide high level updates to the executive team, identifying and resolving systemic issues proactively.
* Ensure rigorous compliance with all relevant industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards across all active sites.
* Drive the continuous improvement of our national construction processes, systems, and standard operating procedures.
* Utilise excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to influence business outcomes and manage key external partnerships.
What we're looking for
* Trade Qualified with a valid White Card.
* Significant experience (10+ years) in Construction Management, with a proven track record in the Insurance Building industry.
* Extensive technical knowledge of construction methods, insurance scoping, and large loss project management.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor Project Managers and build productive industry relationships.
* Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, and complex delivery schedules on a national or state‐wide scale.
* Proficient in project management software (such as Prime or Microsoft Project) and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Diploma of Building & Construction or a related discipline; a Registered Building Practitioner (DB‐U) license is highly regarded.
