- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
- Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information.
- Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, leave and other deductions, and reporting on this as required.
- Interpreting industrial instruments such as modern awards and enterprise agreements.
- Attending to complex payroll calculations which may include redundancy payments, workers compensation payments, etc.
- Addressing payroll queries.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as required.
- Any other duties incidental to the above.
**Requirements**:
- At least 2 years of proven experience in navigating payroll systems.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills.
- Good record keeping.
- Due to the confidential nature of the information Payroll Officers are exposed to, a high degree of professionalism and discretion is required.
- MS Office system experience and related payroll sytems
- Proven record of integrity, tact and ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll & employee information
