Sunnymeade Park Aged Care Community based in Caboolture QLD is recruiting for an experienced Receptionist/Administrative Assistant.

The role of the Receptionist is to provide operational, managerial, and administration support for Sunnymeade Park Aged Care Community.


The Job – Major responsibilities


Front Office Reception

* Reception
* To maintain record system of residents medical & office files
* Queries and residential inspections relating to new residents for the Nursing Home

* Liaise with the Resident Liaison Officer, Facility Manager or other senior nursing personnel regarding preadmission information for nursing home and retirement village clients

* Conduct preadmission interviews with the Resident Liaison Officer or other senior nursing personnel and prospective clients / relatives
* Ensure all required and relevant paperwork is received on or before admission and filed appropriately

* Preparation of new resident admission charts; (medical & office)

* All filing relevant to these files
* Ensure stocks of photocopied "facility generated" forms are available
* Keeping all nursing stations stocked with same
* Stock control of out-sourced documentation
* Liaison with Park office personnel re resident lists
* Queries in relation to sales for Retirement Village

* Postage – sorting & opening inward mail. Posting of outward mail

* Receipting of Resident account payments at reception
* Knowledge of photocopy machine, fax, & phone systems
* Stationary orders and stock control
* Monitoring of IT issues

* Supports the Directors, Facility Manager & Finance Administrator with administrative support


The Person – Knowledge and Skills

* A general understanding of the aged care system or a willingness to learn
* To be self motivated to learn and obtain new skills relating to the industry

* Well developed communication and organisational skills

* Computer Literacy
* To be familiar with computer technology including such programs as Management Advantage (Manad Plus)
* Previous experience with computers and office administration
* The ability to work within a team and to work without supervision
* Willingness to learn about the Aged Care Industry and be self motivated to obtain new skills


Qualifications

* Administration/Clerical Certificates / Certificate III in Business Management
* Have been employed within the past five (2) years in a similar position - NOT NEGOTIABLE
* Current Paid NDIS Workers Screening Card

Kindly note that we will not be looking at employing care staff such as support workers and assistant in nursing staff. We are specifically looking for an administrative strong individual, with experience in a reception role along with exceptional communication skills.
