What You'll Do
We're looking for a driven Director Commercial and Business Development to spearhead innovative revenue-generating initiatives that support our long-term sustainability and growth. Reporting to the Executive Director Commercial and External Relations and leading the new Commercial Branch, you'll play a key role in identifying and delivering diversified revenue opportunities aligned with our Corporate Plan. This is your chance to implement a commercial strategy that leverages our strong brand and expertise in engagement, science, conservation, and horticulture. You will lead the identification of and strategic negotiation for new business ideas, corporate partnerships and on-site tenancies whilst overseeing the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria's commercial operations in retail and food and beverage. What You'll Bring
The successful candidate will ideally hold a tertiary qualification in Business or equivalent experience and will bring a proven track record in developing successful commercial ventures and achieving revenue targets. Your ability to align commercial activity with brand values and public expectations will be key, as will your strong communication and presentation skills, which enable you to build trusted relationships. You will bring:
* Proven experience in identifying and delivering revenue-generating opportunities
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Sound judgement, integrity and adaptability in generating innovative business development opportunities
* Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and performance metrics.
