About the role
As the dedicated engineering resource for our Perth Operations Centre, you will provide technical leadership and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and productivity. This role is pivotal in optimising plant performance, reducing losses and strengthening operational compliance.
You will work closely with site leadership and national technical teams to ensure engineering standards are upheld and improvement initiatives are effectively implemented.
Responsibilities
* You will embrace the site safety culture.
* Ensure compliance of production activities with all relevant internal and external standards through audits, task observations and working closely with various Central Teams.
* Write procedures and be involved with the training of production team members – specifically in new equipment or processes.
* You will assist or conduct incident investigations; issue work permits and run risk assessments as required.
* Assist in leading continuous improvement that focus on improving operator productivity, safety and plant efficiency.
* You will lead local implementation of national projects/initiatives.
* Ensure processes and KPIs are current and up to date based on plant data.
* Assist and support site maintenance activity and planning.
* Supporting maintenance planning and fault-finding activities.
Qualifications
* Required key skills (professional/technical)
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
* Experience in production, process or project engineering
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
* Experience using Excel and SAP (SAP Plant Maintenance highly regarded)
* Exposure to hazardous gases or gas filling processes (advantageous, not essential)
* A proactive mindset and strong team orientation
