About MacKellar:
MacKellar is the trusted mining services contractor for Bravus’ Carmichael Mine, supporting long-term employment and economic growth across regional Queensland. With operations in full production, we continue to expand our workforce and welcome applications from across Queensland.
The Role:
This is a permanent, site-based position within our mobile plant maintenance team, working a 7/7 day and night rotating roster.
You will be responsible for:
* Maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment
* Component change-outs and overhauls
* Fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
* General repairs and breakdown support
* Daily servicing, inspections and refuelling
* Completing planned maintenance within required timeframes
* Working collaboratively to drive safe and efficient operations
About You:
To be successful, you will have:
* Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic
* Post-trade experience in mining or heavy earthmoving environments
* Experience maintaining mobile plant / earthmoving equipment
* Current Standard 11
* Valid Driver’s Licence
* Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
