About Us
Sunnybank Private Hospital is an evolving facility that has provided care to the local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the delivery of high quality, holistic patient care. Recently undergoing a significant redevelopment, our facility has new consulting suites, operating theatres, day surgery, endoscopy suites, and refurbished surgical and oncology units. The facility comprises 120 inpatient beds, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms and an ICU.
As the Clinical Nurse, your responsibilities will include
* Deliver quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual patient care in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
* Take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care, providing hands‐on nursing care, supervision, clinical education, direction and support for registered nurses, enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing.
* Develop and utilize strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective and respectful communication.
* Work in partnership with patients and families in decision‐making regarding provision of care, promoting beneficial relationships and evidence‐based health outcomes.
Essential Criteria
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Current right to work in Australia.
* Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in medical/rehab settings.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver high‐quality patient care and education to patients.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
* Demonstrated experience providing leadership and education to the nursing team.
* Portfolio holder with evidence of professional development.
* Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety National Standards.
* Ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
* FIM qualification desirable.
