Wynyard Care Centre (WCC), part of Synovum Care, is an aged care provider based in the Northwest of Tasmania. Delivering care across a 56-bed residential home, 2 x 7 bed small houses under a Small Scale LivingTM model and support services such as Support at Home and Day Care, WCC is a hub for providing meaningful, high-quality, person-centred care.
Small Scale LivingTM is a leading initiative designed to assist the transition of care for the ageing population of Australia.
The opportunity
The Operations Manager will be leading a multidisciplinary team to drive performance, quality care and operational outcomes across the Care Centre and its support services.
Reporting to the Managing Director and Board, the Operations Manager will;
* Lead day-to-day operations of the care centre including residential and community services
* Drive team performance, rostering, workforce planning and capability uplift whilst promoting a positive team culture
* Oversee financial management including budgeting, KPIs and occupancy outcomes
* Ensure high standards of care, compliance and continuous improvement across services
* Manage a team of clinical and non-clinical care staff to provide person-centred care to residents
About you
You will be a strong, people-focused leader with an extensive operational background within the aged care sector, with:
* Demonstrated experience in aged care leadership within a residential setting
* Strong operational, financial and people leadership capability
* Sound understanding of aged care legislation, compliance and accreditation
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage staff, residents and families
Desirable criteria
* Clinical qualifications or AHPRA registration is desirable, but not essential
