Location: Gold Coast. This is a fixed term (2 years), full-time position. You may be required to work across other campus locations as Griffith is a multi-campus University. Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary: The full-time equivalent base salary is Grade 2 range $113,226 - $134,460 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $132,474 - $157,318 per annum.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow (Grade 2) to join our collaborative and multidisciplinary team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research projects focused on identifying biomarkers and understanding the physiological mechanisms underlying ME/CFS, Long COVID and GWI. As a member of the NCNED team, you will work closely with the Centre Director, team leaders, and students, and play a key role in the design, implementation, and dissemination of research findings.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to research projects through experiment design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
* Prepare research publications, reports, and presentations.
* Assist with grant applications and funding proposals.
* Supervise and support junior researchers and students.
* Actively contribute to the academic life of the NCNED and broader Griffith Health community.
* Participate in sample collection, including offsite visits.
* Ensure compliance with university policies, ethical research practices, and workplace health and safety standards.
Qualifications
* A PhD in immunology, cell biology, or molecular genetics.
* Demonstrated research experience in a relevant biomedical field.
* Strong publication record relative to opportunity.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based research environment.
* Certified phlebotomist or willingness to complete phlebotomy training.
