We are looking for a **Health & Safety Advisor **to join our Health and Safety team.
This role forms part of the operations team, supporting the development of strategic projects focussed on health and safety performance and assurance across our Concrete Aggregates and Masonry operations in Adelaide & VIC.
This role has a key focus in supporting and promoting WHS performance standards and consistency across the business and will provide specialist technical direction, advice and support on Work Health & Safety matters in both a Corporate Governance and operational setting.
This is a **permanent full-time **position based at our office in **Thebarton, SA.**
**Responsibilities**
- Alongside your WHS colleagues, implement and mature Adbri's "Work Safe, Home Safe" program of work driving continuous gains in Health and Safety performance.
- Actively support a culture of continuous improvement and engagement through participation in HSE Committee Meetings, Toolbox Talks and Pre-start Meetings. Share lessons learnt and recognise effort and continuous improvement.
- Participate in the review and continuous improvement of risk management strategies.
- Compile Health and Safety statistics for consolidation into reporting.
- Drive behavioural change through the facilitation of HSE Alerts and Learnings.
- Verify and validate action close-outs.
- Establish, implement and monitor systems for ongoing consultation with key stakeholders and staff.
**What you will need to succeed**
- Recognised Occupational Health and Safety qualification (minimum Diploma level) or willingness to complete
- Qualifications and/or experience in WHS Auditing, Training, ICAM investigations advantageous
- Strong partnering and influencing skills
- Exposure to the heavy manufacturing industry advantageous
- Qualifications and/or experience in WHS Auditing, Training, ICAM investigations would be advantageous
