Senior Emergency Response Trainer
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firefighting and first aid, with experience in designing and delivering emergency response training programs. They will be responsible for developing departmental-specific curriculum guidelines, assessment tools, and methods for recognizing prior learning.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver comprehensive emergency response training programs.
2. Create curriculum guidelines that align with national legislation and best practices.
3. Design assessment tools to ensure ongoing skills and competency maintenance.
4. Develop methods for recognizing prior learning and applying criteria.
5. Contribute to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures at a state and national level.
6. Oversee the Fire Development Program and facilitate succession planning.
7. Cordinate and deliver formal training across various locations in Australia.
8. Support Fire Crews with planning and facilitating team training activities.
9. Monitor and ensure compliance with operational and emergency procedures documents.
Required Skills and Experience:
* A background in firefighting and first aid capability.
* Evidence matrix of skills and competencies.
* Familiarity with emergency services and operational excellence practices.
* Experience in training and people management.
Qualifications:
* Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
* Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Respond to aviation incident qualifications.
* Advanced First Aid qualification.
* Valid Driver's Licence.
* Defence baseline security clearance.
