Job Title: Business Development Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Managing top accounts for corporate, wholesale, inbound, retail, travel agent and MICE sectors.
o Developing a strategic approach to acquire major business and partnership opportunities to achieve total hotel revenue targets.
o Driving proactive sales, managing conferencing business for the Hotel.
o Staying up-to-date with key market information and trends to leverage current and new business.
o Issuing proposals, negotiations and contracts in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring profitability guidelines are adhered to.
o Representing the property at conferences, tradeshows, networking events, familiarisations, sales missions and on-site inspections.
Requirements:
* Experience with Delphi Sales Force, Opera PMS and/or ANAIS is highly regarded.
* Experience in a similar role, 200+ Room Hotel, in a results-oriented business environment.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and a naturally ambitious leader who is always seeking the next business opportunity.
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Publisher and MS PowerPoint.
* Vibrant personality, professional and well-presented.
* A positive 'can do' attitude and the ability to work within a team environment.
