Full-time Cook Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Cook to join our kitchen team in Diamond Creek, VIC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and assess food items to maintain quality standards.
* Monitor and adjust temperatures of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment.
* Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of dishes.
* Season dishes appropriately throughout the cooking process.
* Portion and plate meals with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments.
* Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments.
* Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary needs.
* Assist with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements.
* Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff and apprentices when required.
Requirements:
* AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification.
* Prior experience as a Cook.
* Strong knowledge of cooking methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment.
* Ability to work full-time and flexible hours including rotating shifts.
