Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic Job Opportunity
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team in Newcastle, NSW.
* Adjust system controls and reassemble systems.
* Braze and weld pipes to connect equipment, checking alignment and accuracy of fit.
* Diagnose faults in refrigeration & air conditioning systems, repairing and replacing defective components.
* Drill holes, install mounting brackets, and cut, bend, and thread piping to fit infrastructure.
* Filling systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks, removing test gas and fluid using vacuum pumps and filling with refrigerant.
* Install and repair domestic and commercial HVAC systems.
* Install and repair compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and chilled water.
* Maintain works log by recording malfunction causes and action taken.
* Test-operate refrigeration systems, checking mechanisms, and making adjustments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered, you will need to have a level of skill commensurate with a relevant Trade Certificate or higher qualification and at least one year of relevant employment experience or at least three years of relevant employment experience as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician.
